This is a brand-new Growlite ARCHON DE (model GLH-HDE-E-UL) double-ended horticulture reflector designed for professional indoor gardening, hydroponics, greenhouse supplemental lighting, vertical farming, and controlled-environment cultivation. It pairs with 315W–1000W double-ended HID lamps (HPS or CMH) and delivers intense, uniform light coverage optimized for a 4' × 4' grow area.
The reflector features 95% reflective fine-hammertone aluminum that provides more surface area and superior uniformity than standard large-hammertone designs, while minimizing light loss through a reduced lamp-to-reflector gap. The patented SafeDElock™ socket (Patent Nos. 10,720,741 and 10,873,169) allows safe top-loading lamp installation: simply rotate the lamp 172° to create the electrical connection. This eliminates shock, fire, and arcing hazards common with standard DE sockets and makes it the only UL 8800-listed double-ended reflector on the market.
Heavy-duty 22-gauge steel construction with black powder-coat finish ensures durability. The unit supports remote ballast mounting or integral mounting (with the included bracket) and is DAMP rated for high-humidity environments.
Important Note on Included GLA-STINGRAY BracketThe original factory box label states “NOT Included: Lamp and Ballast Mounting Bracket (GLA-STINGRAY) — Sold Separately.” However, this specific unit contains the full GLA-STINGRAY universal ballast mounting bracket (the black perforated steel plate shown clearly in the listing photos). This appears to be a generic packaging label error or variation—official Growlite documentation confirms the Stingray bracket is sometimes packed with reflector-only units or system stock.
