Vintage TYDOL GASOLINE Oil Station

2 Sided Porcelain Advertising Sign 42\" With Original Ring Hanger

Up for sale is a double sided Tydol gas station round porcelain sign. The sign measures 42\" in diameter. The sign came from an old Maine Country Store which used to be also a Tydol Gas Station in the early 1900\'s. The sign is a true survivor, it was originally mounted on a pole by the gas pumps, still has the original mounting attachments in the bottom. Has original metal ring intact (very solid, well attached to the sign). The sign shows dents, dings, chips, when you look closer at the surface of the sign you see how someone before has tried to clean the surface and unfortunately left a lit of small scratches (when the sign is displayed even from 3-4 ft away you cannot really see the scratches, they are obvious when you look at it close up - we also know that some people clear coat or polish the sign to get rid of these types of scratches - We did not attempt to do any of these, it displays great the way it is. There is also brown paint on the bottom of the sign where it possibly had some porcelain loss).
