I have been told these will work well for a grow set-up but i am not a expert - call for shipping prices:{12} 400W HID Metal Halide Light with programmer shutters {can be controlled by remote location -- see/contact manufacture} wet-location lights, stainless steel housing; stainless brackets for easy attachment. These were replaced by client for LED\'s in a commercial aquarium - SEE NAMEPLATE. These are programmable and fully supported by Manufacture \"paynesparkman\" web site; catalog item numbers listed below and contact information. Each Light has a programmable shutter system that would required added costs and programing/controlling -- if wanted. Call them to discuss the best way these lights can work for you.
