Description:

The High Quality New Technology Dutch Bucket Aquaponics (also known as the Dutch Bucket) is an efficient drip irrigation system and is extremely suitable for larger, long-term crops such as vine tomatoes, peppers (capsicum), cucumbers and even roses. You can use just about any type of growing media, including expanded clay pellets, perlite, and coconut coir.

High Quality New Technology Dutch Bucket Aquaponics are suitable for drip irrigation systems. The overflow outlet can be connected into a central 1-1/2-in PVC drainpipe. The High Quality New Technology Dutch Bucket Aquaponics has a highly effective internal discharge system. By installing the two elbows, the overflow water is suctioned from the lowest level of the bucket and discharged into the central drainpipe. This will eliminate the pooling of stagnant water. The High Quality New Technology Dutch Bucket Aquaponics measures 12-in x 10-in x 9-in (LxWxH). High Quality New Technology Dutch Bucket Aquaponics are made from food-grade polypropylene.

Bato Bucket hydroponic system is designed for growing vine crops- tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, and peppers. The hydroponic buckets have a 2.9 gallon capacity (11 liter) and measure 12"- long, 10"-wide, and 9"-high. Our system design staggers the hydroponic buckets along a PVC drain line that is pre-drilled on 16" centers. This configuration can be custom drilled for different crops, which require more or less space. The hydroponic buckets are also reusable which can make them a money saver over disposable grow bags. Included with each bucket are two "elbows" that allow for a small reservoir of the freshest nutrients to pool in the bottom of the bucket. These elbows are designed to allow excess nutrient solution to drain away while preventing root growth from clogging the drain line.

Features:

High Quality New Technology Dutch Bucket Aquaponics are designed to be fed by drip emitters and plumbed to drain using a common 1.5" PVC pipe, purchased locally.

Siphon Elbows regulate safety reservoir of nutrient solution at bottom of bucket to 1" deep. This feature prevents growing medium from drying out and causing water stress between irrigation cycles. Siphon pipe also prevents over accumulation of nutrient solution. Two siphon elbows are recommended per each bucket.

You can use just about any type of growing media, including expanded clay pellets, perlite, and coconut coir.

Ideal for tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, scallions, basil, other herbs and more!
DESCRIPTION:

In traditional deep water culture systems (DWC), each system involves its own self contained local system. This means that each system has to be individually checked for pH, nutrient levels, and topped up with lost water. If you have 20 plants this can be very tedious and time consuming. For smaller systems this is perfectly suitable, but in larger grows, it can be a huge waste of time to maintain. The solution lies in the innovative design of the recirculation system

Deep water culture isn’t without its challenges. Although plants leaves breath in carbon dioxide and release oxygen, the roots need to use some oxygen in order to absorb nutrients. Water can retain some oxygen, but once that oxygen is released or used up, the plants will begin choking for more of this element. Submersing roots in water for long periods of time will eventually cause them to suffocate and die. The solution to this is to constantly oxygenate the water by injecting it with a stream of air from an air pump. Additionally, the reservoir volume in traditional DWC is quite small, and needs to be checked regularly for shifts in parameters. Skipping these checks can allow the water to become imbalanced and lead to slow growth, or worse… the death of your plants. Recirculating deep water culture takes the traditional method to another level by creating a steady flow of water throughout the system. By connecting multiple individual deep water culture systems, water is refreshed throughout the system constantly. This helps to prevent any stagnation of water, thus preventing algae, bacteria, and fungi from making a home in your system. Keeping the water flowing helps to prevent this stagnation and keep the roots of your plants clean and free of infection. Circulating the water through numerous smaller systems increases the reservoir volume size, and helps maintain even water pH, nutrient density, and oxygenation. Moving the water around constantly allows any build-up of acidity, or mineral concentrations to diffuse throughout the entire water supply.
