Quiet for such a powerful pump but a significant hum – please consider this if noise is an issue. Note that the noise is reduced under load so please test under operating conditions.How long can it be run for / duty cycle?
These pumps are designed for continuous use under normal conditions. As with any air pump you can prolong its life by balancing the output with a valve to release any excess pressure. Avoid running pumps with no load. Can I use it outside?
They are weatherproof for use outside. Site in a secure sheltered location. Please ensure any outdoor electrical appliance has adequate protection, check with an electrician if unsure.Is it serviceable?

Always use one-way valves if the pump will ever be lower than the water level (on dry land) to prevent the water siphoning back to the pump. Use inline-valves to balance flow between multiple air stones and to relieve excess back-pressure on the pump. Avoid running the pump with no load or with all outputs closed.
