I'm an experienced needle worker but am branching out into combinations of embroidery, beadwork, ribbon embroidery and cross stitch. These transfers are designs that could easily be converted to use with all or some of these forms of needlework. Still, it keeps its promise that several of the designs are well suited to beginners. A majority of the transfers contain 'right' plus 'left' versions of the same design, making it easy to use them for tablecloths, frames or other 4-cornered projects. Many have matching border designs as well. But the best feature of all is that I'm tired of the repetitive 'kitch' designs usually available today - something this book overcomes well. There's bird, flower, oriental, egyptian, geometric, African, Delft, East Indian, climbing plant, love-knot and romantic alphabet for monogramming included. and I would enjoy using ALL of the designs - and believe me, I'm persnickety! The only improvement for this volume would be including a page of small 'sample' transfers to use in determining if the transfer would work on darker colors of fabric. All transfers are in dark blue, so aren't suitable for the darkest of fabrics (something I like to use occasionally). Overall, please don't hesitate to give this book a chance!Read full review

This is a full book of transfers, floral and fantasy. There are 146 pages of transfers--no cross stitching mostly satin and back stich crewel-type embroidery but for floss. Very Beautiful
