M.Scott Peck explores how to discern the difference between acts of love and acts of cathexis, as he describes the work involved in love. Peck makes us examine our view of love without pontificating, in a enjoyably readable book. He challenges us to elevate love to include the true personal sacrifices which loving fully entails. Through this challenge, we are encouraged in spiritual and personal growth. I was first asked to read The Road Less Traveled as part of a college course requirement. I went on to eagerly study the succession of books which explored further the ideals of this thoughtful and thought provoking author. Equally so have I enjoyed other spiritually enlightening books by M. Scott Peck. I lost my original edition, and this is a necessary addition to any collector interested in spiritual and personal growth.Read full review
Fantastic! I read the book back in the 80s and recently read it again. Loved it just as much this time. Scott Peck absolutely knew what he was talking about. Great read. Absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to get in touch with Life!

The Road Less Traveled was a book recommended to me about 16 years ago by a very good friend. I read it back then and I unfortunately lost the book and wanted to replace it. This is a very good book to read over and over and to look up certain paragraphs from the different chapters. The book I received is in excellent condition and I was very happy with this purchase.
