I bought this product as a replacement for the same hose hangout we had had for years that was recently broken. That being said, I know this product weathers well, and is great for holding other types of hose (we easily wrap shorter, thick pool hose around it instead of the garden-type hose this is intended for)--but I'm not sure on how sturdy the plastic is otherwise (it broke around the screw-area when we dropped a small wooden board on it). Overall, though, the product works well for holding hose and is easy to put up; I would definitely recommend it for this price.
