I always liked Julia Child, and I used her cookbooks for my cooking for decades. There are many good biographies about her childhood and her life in France or her TV shows including the famous chef Jacques Pepin. The book “French Chef”has some of her greatest recipes and easy to make. You will like this book!

I have had the pleasure of getting books as they were represented. This store serves good multi-faceted purposes: books at really inexpensive prices; and an outlet for books likely to be wasted but for this store's operations; and sale and delivery directly to buyers' addresses; and a public service, all appreciated.

There are several books that any chef starting out should own. This is one of those books. Not to mention significantly less expensive that Larousse's "Gastronomique". Its all there, the basic outline of french cuisine. Easy to follow, and fun to experiment with. Before the food Network, Julia Child dominated the airwaves with her television cooking show. Her much awaited books became study guides for the chef to be in all of us. Good read, fun, and worth every penny!
My wife loves it.
