I like the float because it is less likely to get caught in the down position (won’t turn pump on) or the up position (pump won’t stop running). I also double sump pump with one pump sitting on a cement block. This gives a backup should the lower pump fail. If doing this, remember to put a check valve on each discharge. I only have to pump up 8 feet and don't need a very strong pump.

Excellent built and operation. Used it in a 5 gallon bucket for a basement kitchen sink application (up discharge). The float switch mechanism is perfect, the stainless steel body and painted cast iron end feels really solid. The pump on time to pump out about 4 gallons of “gray water” is under 2 seconds.

Very affordable. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the build quality and materials are very good. Had no problems installing with the included adapter and it works great. I had no idea how good of a pump it would be, but have been pleasantly surprised that it pumps quickly and powerfully. Highly recommended.

Fits great into 12” basin Very reliable float. Pumps quickly between about 6” and 3” of level. Suction pickup is 1” above bottom so it won’t pick up sand. Not the quietest pump, but makes it nice to know when it’s active. Very pleased with purchase and was priced right.
