Works well, and very useful, very accurate and reliable. All n' all, more than a measuring tape in most cases. The leveller functionality comes in handy when measuring poorly formed walls. The bluetooth remote function can be helpful in places where it's hard to measure, such as floors to roof. The Bosch software for mobile is mediocre. The one for phones is handy when handing over measurements to other people. The floor-planner software is for tablets only, and it not a match for a paper and a pencil.

I bought this Bosch GLM50 for those times when I’m in the trusses and need a measurement and can’t easily move around. Well now I find myself using it for all my measurements. It’s super accurate and easy to use. The first couple of weeks I was really careful with it but now it goes in my tool belt just like my tape. The bonus is the built in level this works great for hanging electrical gang boxes. I highly recommend it.

Very accurate distance (checked against two meter rule) and works in both metric and imperial. Works better in moderate Arizona sunlight - obviously you will lose some range. Device also functions as an x-y-z level which also helps eliminate angular offset when measuring distances. I haven't used the bluetooth feature yet - all other functions (including area and volume) work as expected. Navigation is intuitive and the display works well indoors and decently outdoors.

Beautiful color display that rotates automatically. Easy for me to see with my old eyes. Great bluetooth connectivity working well with my android phone and floorplancreator app (small purchase but use for my business), Bosch free MeasureOn app is OK, but limited. Lots of other use measuring tools built in like level, indirect measurements, etc.

Works great. Some nice new features compared to previous models I’ve owned. Defaults to constant measure feature when powered on, which is neat but a battery drainer. Didn’t give five stars, as it would be perfect if we could choose which measure mode it defaults to when powered on. Small complaint on otherwise excellent product. I should note, I have not tried the Bluetooth and smartphone app features.
