Vintage Wright McGill Sweetheart two piece, 7 1/2 ft. fiberglass fly rod in unfished condition. It\'s my understanding that Wright Mcgill purchased the Granger company in Denver and used some of the components after the transition, this rod features the Granger up locking reel seat but stamped Wright McGill, dated April 12, 1938 and the elliptical \"hammer handle\" grip that was used in Granger\'s bamboo fly rods.This rod is in excellent condition, showing absolutely no signs of use, grip looks like new as well as all eyes, wraps and guides and ferrule are in excellent condition.It comes with the original bag and aluminum tube with the Sweetheart sticker still intact, looks to be a 5 weight rod. This rod came from an estate and it looks to me as it was never used, I own many rods and do all kinds of fishing my self.
