ART DECO LILY OF FRANCE LINGERE FIGURAL STORE DISPLAY
Quality vintage/collectible items - 100% guaranteed all original - !
You are offerding on a rare Lily of France Duo-Sette figural lingerie store display, circa, 1920s-1930s. Made of zinc or spelter (zinc alloy) with a gold finish, this lovely piece stands 11.5" tall, with a 4" diameter base. The attention to detail is remarkable - from garter belt and hose, to stitching patterns and seams on the corset. Madame Irene brought French corsetry to New York in the late 1800s, and by 1915 the firm had it's own 8-story building on 5th Avenue and the name was changed to Lily of France.
The condition is great, with gold finish wear overall, and a hairline crack where her rear left thigh meets the rectangular support, as pictured. This minor flaw is not visible when displayed, and does not affect the structural soundness of the piece. Please note the flash photography makes her look shinier and 'golder' than in person. Rare, with great Art Deco styling, this will make a spectacular addition to your advertising collecton.......Good luck & happy offerding!
