This tractor has been gone through really well. There are a couple things needed to complete this. To include, install John Deere emblem on front grill, replace the two front lights with correct ones, install rear combo light. I would recommend a professional carburetor rebuild, since I seemed to be able to get the carburetor adjusted perfectly after a basic carburetor kit rebuild. I had to use JB Weld in the area where the fuel bowl attaches to the gas tank in order to stop fuel linkage in this area, and I think the fuzzed nut within the tank has become a little lose. This area has been rectified. The last thing would be replacing the alternator with the correct generator. I did not change this because the current set up is working well.
I would say that the transmission is functioning well, it tends to stick a little when switching between gears. I fell it was okay enough to not justify a transmission tear down. Once I figured out where the trouble spots were, and doing a good proper shifting, all has been well. At the same time I have done a complete oil replacement to include a kerosene flush, the shifting has improved thou not completely eliminated.
