The system produces high-quality vegetables, herbs, melons, and berries--45-day yields!--that are more nutritious and better-tasting than soil-gardened produce because oxygenated water and nutrients are delivered directly to the roots.
The system runs on the energy of a 20-watt light bulb. A 140 GPH water pump recirculates fertilized water to all ten pots, maximizing nutrient distribution and stabilizing pH throughout the system. The system requires less water than soil gardening, making it an ecological choice (ideal for western U.S. drought conditions), while eliminating soil-borne diseases and pest problems.
This hybrid model has a drain-lever design that allows the user to toggle between an Ebb and Flow or a Recirculating Deep Water Culture set-up by simply turning the drain pipe up or down in each grow chamber up.
