Meet Trixie!
LAVENDER OUTFIT: In trying to decide which outfits to make each girl, I first look at what I have on hand, for I live in the boonies and far from anyplace. I was so happy to discover the perfect fabric for the dress I wanted to make the most! Trixie\'s lavender outfit is in three pieces: the top, the skirt, and the very large collar. With it she wears matching bracelets and little ankle puffs. TEAL & BLACK OUTFIT: I have loved this vintage turquoise fabric that I found at a thrift store for a very long time. But even though it\'s a solid, its vibrancy makes it very \"loud.\" Too loud for the vintage-looking clothes I usually sew. So I was delighted when I saw Effie Trinket\'s costume in a nearly identical fabric. Easy decision! The teal outfit would be Trixie\'s second thing to wear. It has large, puffy sleeves, a peplum waist, fabric covered buttons and it snaps in the front. There\'s a belt to match. The \"corsage\" is removable, in case you think it\'s \"too much\" (I keed! With Effie/Trixie there\'s no such THING as too much!). Her skirt is crushed velvet and her hair accessory pins to her wig. Her fingerless gloves are adorable on her. She sports a bracelet with this outfit as well, and a \"ring\" (really, a bead with some gold stringing elastic). Trixie feels GRAND.Her shoes are gold-foiled leather. Beneath it all, Trixie is wearing the onesie she arrived in. She also of course comes with her Hazel Twigg card, declaring her to be O.L.D. No. 00022!Despite her prancing, Trixie, like Effie Trinket, has a heart of gold. Not only that, she is guaranteed INFINITY to be a standout in your collection. \"What is THAT?\" your visiting friends may cry. But you know and I know; she is a doll unlike any other, that\'s who! I hope there is someone out there who will love her as much as I have. And even if you don\'t, I hope you\'re intrigued enough to come back every week and see who\'s next. In the next day or two I\'ll do a post for Trixie, better detailing her story with never-before seen photos. The post shall be called, \"The Trouble With Tribbles.\" You\'ll see why....
