Down To Earth began in Eugene, Oregon, in 1977 in response to the growing segment of American consumers who were looking for alternatives to plastic and synthetic materials. On the forefront of the burgeoning organic movement of the 1980s, we began making fertilizers out of our storefront shop to provide our customers a natural, economical option for their gardens.

Today, we work out of our own manufacturing plant and have developed partnerships with processors and suppliers to procure the highest quality raw materials for our premium fertilizer products, which are used by home gardeners, commercial growers, nurseries and garden centers who want alternatives to conventional chemical products.

We feature a complete line of natural and organic fertilizers, soil amendments, composts and potting media that work with the microorganisms, fungi and organic matter in the soil to feed plants and stimulate growth. Our natural fertilizers are carefully blended from the best sources of organic nutrients in ideal proportions without the use of synthetics, growth stimulants or low-quality fillers like poultry waste. Dramatically increase both the amount and size of blooms

Use high-phosphorus Down To Earth Seabird guano throughout the flowering period for all indoor and outdoor plants. Strawberries, melons, vegetables and all types of flowers will benefit from mid-season applications to improve yields, quality and flavor while also enhancing the beneficial bacteria activity in your garden soil.

Seabird Guano Application Rates For Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds:

To prepare new gardens, apply 2.5-5 lbs. per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3&; of soil. For new transplants, add 1-2 tbsp. per hole, mix into soil and water in well. To feed established plants, side dress 1-2 oz. once each month during the growing season to promote fruiting and flowering.

Seabird Guano Application Rates For Containers:

For new plantings, add 1-2 tbsp. per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly or add 2.5-5 lbs. per cubic yard. For established plants, lightly mix 1 tbsp. per gallon into the soil surface once each month during the growing season.

Seabird Guano Application Rates For Liquid Preparations:

Add 1-2 tbsp. per gallon of water and let steep up to 48 hours agitating periodically. Apply the solution directly to the soil around plants or filter and apply as a foliar spray. Be sure to use all of the solution once it is prepared.
