1973 John Deere 450BA Crawler Loader - Diesel Engine - 3380 Hours:
$9900.00

This is a farm machine I recently acquiredfrom my parents\' estate. It has been sitting a barn for many yearspending settlement of the estate. It had the motor rebuilt by the local John Deere dealerprior to being placed in storage. My estimate is that there are fewer than 50 hours onthe motor.Once I acquired it from theestate, I placed a new battery in it and it started right up. I have since had the local John Deere dealer remove theold fiber style steering clutches and replace them withmodern metallic disks. The dry clutches were always a problem when they had nobetter alternative than fiber. The metallic clutches will not have the issues with moisture that plagued the fiber clutches. Newtrack adjusters were installed at the same time. It starts right upinbelow freezingtemperatures without starting aids and operates likenew. There are no known problems with this machine and I would have noconcerns sending it to any job site, with confidence that it would perform aswell as any machine of comparable size. It is used, though, so there arevarious scratches and dents. The undercarriage is good-to-excellent, probably 70% remaining. The serial number appears to be 1484641 but the last character is hard to see. It is likely the last character is not a \"1\" and could be a \"T\" which indicates the plant where it was built. This size machine has always been very popular because of its size and weight. You can easily move this machine with a tag along trailer behind a smaller truck and avoid many of the headaches associated with large trucks and trailers. The machine islocated in Battle Ground, Indiana. A deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of end of sale, balance due on removal of machine. If the deposit is not paid within 48 hours the machine will be relisted. I apologize that I recently restarted this sale after only one day butthe pictures were not being displayed completely.
