HI!i have a Dutch pot system (12 pots),i have 2 600w lights above this, i also have c02 and good extraction run by a controler. Nice set up in all, however my last crop bolted like mad after going into flower which was a big pain and the end result was dissapointing. I didnt have the lights too far away so wonder should i flower when the cuttings are smaller? how small can i flower them?. Is there something that i can use that actually works?.

Ron, I have one of your 4 plant "stool" gardens, and it works wonderfully! One compound question, though - What is the best method to trim the roots when they fill up the void betweem the bottom of the cups, and the neck of the bottles; at what point should I do this (the plants were showing signs of stress, so I pulled the cup and found it - should I have "headed it off"?; and, once trimmed, should the roots be submerged immediately in something different than regular nutrient solution, like some Olivia's or something? Thanks!

I have a small hydroponic greenhouse for growing my vegeatables & would like to try a few roses in it also. I would like to grow the long stem kind like one would purchase in a flower shop. My question is, does this take a special kind of rose plant, because the ones I grow in my yard do not have the long stems like you would purchase in a flower shop or is it just the way you grow and prune them? Thanks for your help. J.B.

I really need some help here. Have been trying to get info from some peps at this one discussion board but no one seems to want to help. I am a beginner and have just build my own under $50 ebb n flo. Any info or suggestions would be helpful. 1. Can I use perelite in my pots for hydroponics or do I need to use something else? 2. If so then do i have to start the seeds off in the perelite, or can I take the peet pellets that have begun go sprout many small stalks. 3. If the peat pellits can not be used because of potential mold, can I take them apart and transplant? 4. What type of nutrient do I need for hydroponic growth? Can I use Miracle grow liquid house grow (8-7-6) or is there special nuts that i need? Prob gonna have to go to Harvest Moon for the hydro stuff. 6. Are air rocks necessary for my grow bed? 7. When I flood the bed, how far up the pot should the water flow? If the plant is very small, then the root would be, so would I have to flood more in the beginning, or will the nutrients get soaked into the perlite and provide nuts to the roots anyway? Thats all folks, I am havein a great time doin this so any info is greatly appreciated. Later
