So, I've read a lot of places that with most
nutrient solutions, you still have to add magnesium and calcium. Any idea why they aren't found in most nutrient solutions?
What purpose do they serve to the plants... or rather, what happens if the plants don't get enough magnesium and calcium?
I'm using Hydrofarm's nutrient (7-7-7) to feed my Calamondin orange tree... sitting in a gurgle system. The bottle claims 2% calcium and 0.5% magnesium. Do you think that's enough, or should I still add more?
Whew... sorry for all the questions. I've caught the hydro-bug and I'm obsessed!
thanks, felix.
